A mother shared how she found her lost daughter in a crowded park, and all parents should know the technique she used to do it quickly.

Parents know how difficult it is to take walks with their children in crowded places like beaches, parks, and malls; sometimes, in the blink of an eye, children simply vanish into the crowd.
Little ones get easily distracted and are usually more interested in going in a more fun direction or playing with friends than informing parents or guardians where they are going.
At that moment, it’s hard to keep calm, but a mother who went through a similar situation used social media to share how she found her daughter, who had ‘disappeared’ in an indoor amusement park.
Krista Piper said she reunited with her daughter Lily “very quickly” after using a technique taught online by another father. According to her, the little girl walked away while Piper was talking to another mother.
Piper recounts in her post that she and her other child reacted like most people, started shouting the girl’s name; that’s when the mother remembered the advice given by another father who had gone through the same situation.
She explained in the clip: “Right after I started calling her name, a little light bulb went off in my head. I remembered a TikTok I probably saw over a year ago.”
The post seen by Piper warned parents to avoid shouting their children’s names when they lost sight of them and, instead, to shout a description of the child and other details that would help with identification, such as what they were wearing.
So, the mother changed her plan, stopped shouting the name, and started listing details about her daughter out loud. “I stopped calling her name, started shouting ‘little girl, pink shirt, Minnie Mouse pink shirt’; I’m sure people thought I was a bit crazy,” she says in the video.
The “loud looking method,” as it became known, encourages others around to join the search and makes it easier to locate the missing child, as those around may not know who Lily is, for example, but can find the girl with the Minnie Mouse shirt.
Luckily, that’s what happened, after Piper described what her daughter was wearing, the three-year-old girl was soon found. According to the mother, the little girl was missing for no more than a minute and a half.
Piper recounts in her post how grateful she was when she heard other parents in the park repeating the description of her daughter, after she changed tactics and, shortly after, someone informed her that they had found little Lily.
“So, if you lose your child, or dog, or anything, shout their description, raise your voice. “I probably looked like a crazy person, but it worked. I found my daughter very quickly,” she says.
